Rags To Riches – The Carlos Marin Story
In January of 1961 my parents, my sisters and I left Cuba with just the clothes we were wearing. The Castro communist government seized all their property and money and they lost everything.
My father had managed to smuggle a $1,000 bill in the heel of one of his shoes and we began a new life first in Spain and a year later in Charleston, W.Va.
My parents had to work 2 jobs each just to make ends meet so an American babysitter took care of my 3 sisters and I for 4 years until we moved to Miami. By the time we got to Florida my sisters and I barely spoke Spanish. We had become little Americans. 
My parents worked very hard and we made many sacrifices in order to make ends meet. I learned to go without many of the things I wanted but did not like it at all.
As soon as I was able to push a lawnmower I started cutting lawns in the neighborhood and washed cars in order to get the things I wanted like a 10 speed bike. I always liked the good things in life and had an intense desire to succeed.
I vowed that I would become a millionaire like my grandfather who had migrated from Spain to Cuba with only the clothes on his back. He always told me that if I wanted to be successful find a successful person who had what I wanted to mentor me.
Fast forward… I’m 25 working 70 hours per week earning $35,000 a year when most of my friends were making $25,000 but I know I’m broke. I look good, I smell good but I’m broke and in debt. I’m frustrated because I always thought that by age 25 I’d be a millionaire or at least very close to it.
I was far from it and worse yet didn’t have a clue as to how I would ever get there. Then I was introduced to Network Marketing and a group of wealthy entrepreneurs who said I had a lot of potential and they would show me how I too could become a millionaire doing what they did.
All of a sudden I remembered what my grandfather had told me… find a mentor who has what you want to have and learn from them and you’ll have it too! I was ecstatic and knew I’d be a millionaire in no time flat. What I didn’t understand yet however, was that they were going to show me how to do it but in order to achieve what they had achieved I was going to have to change the way that I thought.
You see, I like everyone else who was not a millionaire needed to learn how to think like a millionaire in order to become one.
After my initial frustration of not being a millionaire overnight I began to apply myself to learning the Universal Principles of Success as my mentors were teaching me. I had a lot of negative thinking and conditioning to overcome which took some time but as my mindset began to change so did my results.
I became a great student of the laws of success and listened to hundreds of audios (cassettes in those day) and attended dozens of seminars over the next 5 years and at the age of 31 finally attained my goal.
I fell in love with the Principles of Success because of the certainty of the results when put into consistent practice. I taught them to the people in my organizations and those who applied them achieved tremendous results. Helping others become millionaires and attain financial freedom is a tremendous feeling. I became addicted to teaching the Principles and helping others achieve their dreams and it became my life passion!
Today I see people fearful of the economy. Even people in recession proof industries are affected mentally because of all the media hype and the fear and negative talk of their friends and associates.
I have to tell you that as I look around I see nothing but opportunity and I believe more millionaires will be created in the next 10 years than ever before in history… however, you have to have the right mindset, you have to think correctly.
Over the past 10 years I’ve really refined how I teach the principles and created a practical model that accelerates the process of learning and applying them.
I’m now coming out with a book and Personal Development System to empower anyone to become a millionaire in less than 3 years. While these principles work for any purpose or business I’ve chosen Network Marketing as the first industry to apply my system to because that’s where I made my first million.
My goal is 100 millionaires in less than 3 years. Are you one of them?

Hola Carlos, pase por la experiencia de trabajar durante 7 anos en el mismo multinivel en que tu estabas y aprendi bastante a pesar de no lograr los niveles deseados. Cuando me hablaron de Ambit, y vi en el video que era aquel Carlos Marin del cual yo y mi grupo aprendimos tanto a travez de aquellos cassettes que usabamos a escondidas como si se tratara de una sustancia prohibida, me di cuenta que habia llegado a mi la oportunidad de renovar mis suenos. Ahora con el mejor negocio, el mejor producto, el mentor ideal (usted),he tomado la descision de construir en 12 meses una organizacion 10 veces mayor que la anterior y en 3 anos formar parte de ese grupo de millonarios. well where do i begin,first i hope you do read this Carlos because so many that make it in life do not have time for the ones that need that mentor you speak about or that push that is needed at times.There is no question in my mind the fire that i have to succeed in life burns deep in side my soul.but my path has not been easy ,to date still for 8 years working 6 nights a week in the frozen dept at stop & shop also working days with my own home improvement contracting business and my online business and working ambit.When my two lovely children see me they call me zombie dad cause I’m so burnt from the grave yard shift that i need for the health insurance.My wife well that is whole other story that is remarkable in itself.But through it all we still love each other dearly.All i ask from you is give the average hard working man a shout out and email me or just call and say hi for 1 minute out of your life,that to me is a honor i would never forget.

Carlos, I was in your downline when you were earning your first million back in the 80’s. I didn’t learn the success principles back then but I got back in the business and am doing very well. I have always respected you and am glad to see you are doing what you do best and that is teaching success.
